Video Poker Facts
Video poker is a simple five-card draw game played against the odds. Player lays
down his bet, receives five cards and gets a round to trade
some of the hand in. When all is said and done, a player either
makes back some of the bet, or gets stuck with the big donut.
There's a family of twelve other poker kinds featuring wild
and bonus cards, jokers, plus other special criteria to spice
things up a bit. Normally, you have to score at least a pair
of Jacks to get your money back, although some versions have
much steeper requirements to reach the "money zone."
In every case, the better the hand is, the more your bankroll
grows.
Video Poker is one of the most popular card games where
a player does not have to be an expert to win money. Because
many players can join the game, it is not played against the
house, but rather against the other players at the poker table.
For novice video poker players there are many websites offering
all kinds of help required to master this game, while some even
provide lessons to improve players' skills.
